البرنامج يقدم باللغة الألمانية نفس الخدمات التي يقدمها قرينه باللغة الإنكليزية (هنا: http://medroid.me/content/opioid-converter) مضاف إليها الجانب القانوني من إعطاء مسكنات الألم الأفيونية opoid painkillers في ألمانيا، وهو جانب لا يقل أهمية عن الجانب العلمي لتسكين الألم. استخدامه سهل و تصميمه جيد، لمن كان حقاً بحاجة لأداة تحويل جرعات المسكنات الأفيونية كهذه.

Der Opioid-Rechner von Hexal bietet in seiner Kernfunktion einen Umstellungsrechner für stark wirksame Opioide. Mit dieser App lassen sich Äquivalenzdosen der wichtigsten Opioide berechnen.
Für folgende Wirkstoffe und Darreichungsformen lässt sich mit dem Hexal Opioid-Rechner eine äquivalente Dosierung errechnen:
• Buprenorphin (TTS)
• Buprenorphin (subkutan, intravenös)
• Fentanyl (TTS)
• Hydromorphon (Retardtabletten & Retardkapseln)
• Morphin (Retardtabletten, Retardkapseln, subkutan, intravenös)
• Oxycodon (Retardtabletten)
• Tapentadol (Retardtabletten)

Behandelt ein Arzt zum Beispiel einen Patienten mit einer Tagesdosis von 40mg Oxycodon und möchte wissen, welche Wirkstärke eines Fentanyl-Pflasters eine äquivalente schmerzstillende Dosis bietet, so errechnet der Hexal Opioid-Rechner schnell und einfach die äquivalente Dosierung.
Neben der Umrechnungsfunktion enthält die App außerdem einen Bereich mit Informationen zu Opioiden von Hexal und einen Servicebereich, in welchem diverse Materialien (z.B. Patientenbroschüren oder Tagestherapiekosten-Vergleiche) in digitaler Form zur Verfügung stehen.
Der Hexal Opioid-Rechner wurde für medizinische Fachkreise entwickelt und richtet sich primär an Ärzte (ein DocCheck Passwort ist erforderlich). Für die Nutzung der App gelten die Nutzungsbedingungen und Haftungsausschluss der Hexal AG.
